then she went and chopped off all her hair in an act of defiance without consulting a nigga first.
Superficial as it may sound, I thought she looked like street booty and I was utterly disappointed in her decision. Then when I got over her appearance, it only seemed like she did it to prove something. I guess living in the shadows of Beyonce and all 27 pounds. of her lace-front became too much pressure for Sol-Angel. It's understandable though. Most girls go through this "chop off all my hair" phase. BUT just imagine if yo' man came home bald-headed, how offended you would be if his head was oddly shaped...

Well, I've given it some time...took a moment to think things over and decided to reinstate Solange as my unofficial Shawty (capital "s"). It's been months since she chopped off her hair and she continues to wear it proudly, leading me to believe it wasn't just a phase. And when I think about it, I was wrong for coming down so hard on her. It looks nice after all....

i still don't really like it ... but since i'm now transitioning to natural hair, i've learned not to judge people based on their hair - esp when i don't like it - because you never really know why or what they've gone thru to come to that decision.
i may not like it, but she's wearing it with confidence & that's all that matters.
It doesn't matter if solo is your main chick cause she is MOST DEFINiTELY mine! lol
