We live in a day and age where everyone wants to lose weight the fast way, without having to put in the right amount of hard work. We'd rather take the elevator, because walking up and down the stairs is "bad for our Tendinitis". We'd rather utilize the autowash feature at the car wash that does nothing but tickle your Honda, because getting out in the front yard and washing the car is for the birds. Lastly, we rely on cosmetic surgery to do things that a few days a week in the gym could handle. Well I've got the perfect solution for those of you who want to lose a few pounds without having to make mad adjustments to your day-to-day.....just buy an iPhone.


My girlfriend got an iPhone for Christmas and every since she's got it...she has been losing weight, and in a healthy way. The phone comes with a feature known as iPhone Apps, which allows you to download free software onto your phone. The software ranges from games, to photo editors, and yes...even weight loss programs. The specific program that she uses is known as "LoseIt!". When you intially begin the program, you enter your current weight, your intended weight, and the amount of time that you want to reach your goal. After that, the program gives you a maximum amount of calories that you can consume on a daily basis and you take it from there. (You can enter food & portion size easily via a searchable database, including hundreds of brand-name products. You can add exercise information from a list of exercise activities stored on the phone and calories burned in exercise are automatically subtracted from your daily total of calories.) She has lost over 12 lbs in about a month, so I can assure you that it works.


So for those of you who don't have an iphone, this provides you with the perfect argument to hit your parents with next time you ask them for one...
